I’m sure that this healthy sandwich roll recipe will become one of your favorites. Honestly, it came about after I tried out various bread recipes that I found online. One of those recipes includes this easy sandwich roll recipe that I found online.

Don’t Allow Self-Doubt to Hold You Back

Truthfully, in the beginning; I was perfectly content to just follow a recipe that I found or saw. Even though it was easier for me to do that; I began to feel unfulfilled, but yet still doubted my own ability to create my very own bread.

Instead of wasting more time, I kicked self-doubt to the curb; and began planning out the recipe. Some advice for you: Whenever self-doubt presents itself, don’t give place to it. Honestly, its only task is to prevent you from succeeding; and to hold you back from pursuing your goals.

Perfectly Chewy and Soft

These sandwich rolls are chewy and soft indeed. In addition, this sandwich roll recipe isn’t difficult to follow at all! In truth, it’s the perfect bread recipe for beginners. And the directions are simple and easy enough for anyone to follow.

I’ve made tuna sandwiches and also turkey and cheese deli sandwiches with these sandwich rolls. Therefore, they are sturdy and soft enough for whatever sandwich you choose to make.

Artificial Ingredients

Have you noticed the amount of artificial ingredients in most foods nowadays? I’m talking about those icky ingredients such as MSG, natural flavorings, artificial colors and the like.

It’s appalling for me to see the amount of artificial ingredients in most store-brought bread these days. In truth, most homemade breads should only contain a few simple ingredients.

No comparison

Compared to store-brought bread, homemade bread wins hands down! And that freshly baked bread smell? Can’t top that! Here’s a whole-wheat sandwich bread recipe for you to check out as well.

It was my hope to create a healthy sandwich roll that didn’t taste boring at the same time. Can you imagine my delight after biting into the most delicious and chewy roll ever? Mission accomplished.

Quick-Cooking Over Rolled Oats

The texture from the oats gives these rolls such an amazing texture. I chose to use quick-cooking oats, which are smaller-textured; instead of rolled oats for this recipe.

This is to prevent the rolls from bring overly chunky. But if you want to try using rolled oats, go ahead and try it out.

  • Instant yeast: helps making these rolls even quicker.
  • Melted butter: only a small amount to add flavor.
  • Water
  • Cane sugar/regular sugar: adds a lightly sweet taste which enhances the overall flavor.
  • Quick cooking oats: game changer – the small texture of these oats adds an amazing chewiness to these rolls.
  • All-purpose flour and bread flour: the blend of these two flours helps to give the rolls structure as well as a light texture.

Don’t miss out on making these rolls. They’re truly so delicious and perfect for your favorite sandwiches. Let me know in the comments how they turned out for you!
