Choose Wisely

There are a wide variety of healthy cookies and recipes available online and from various other sources. On the other hand, there are also plenty of unhealthy cookies and cookie recipes available.

So it is of upmost importance that we read (or begin to read) the nutrition facts on food labels. Many food labels boast of the taste factor of the contents within. And those labels can display appetizing food images. Even so, on closer inspection; there can be too much of sodium, sugar, cholesterol, etc.

Convenient and A Time-Saver

To give you a more detailed description of this cookie – it’s made in the microwave in under two minutes. This cooking method helps save on time and moreover, is convenient when you’re not up for using an oven.

*To those who are against microwave cooking: though I haven’t tested this method, you can try baking this cookie at 350 degrees for about 22-24 minutes*

Whole-Wheat Chocolate Chip Single Serve Cookie Ingredients

  • Half Whole-Wheat and Half All-Purpose Flour: By adding in all-purpose flour along with the whole-wheat flour, this cookie is soft and chewy without being too dense.
  • Salt: Just a pinch to meld the flavor.
  • Baking Powder
  • Nut Butter: Almond or Peanut Butter can be used.
  • Vanilla Extract: I’ve stated this before, but what’s a cookie without it? – undoubtedly bland and way less flavorful.
  • Coconut Sugar: Using coconut sugar in these cookies is just my personal preference, but you can use regular sugar as well.
  • Milk: As with most of my recipes, you can use either dairy-free or regular milk.
  • Chocolate Chips: Last but definitely not the least. You can prefer to use dairy-free or regular chocolate chips.
