Easy Classic Vegan Waffle Recipe

These delicious classic vegan waffles are worth the short amount of time it takes to make them!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tbsp regular (cane) sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp melted butter (dairy-free if vegan)
  • 1/4-1/2 tsp vanilla extract. Try the 1/4 tsp first. If you prefer a stronger vanilla flavor, add in an extra 1/4 tsp.
  • 1 cup and an extra 2 tsp milk (dairy-free or regular)

Instructions
 

  • In a large mixing bowl combine the dry ingredients thoroughly (flour-sugar).
    Add in the wet ingredients (butter-milk) and combine batter just till it’s mostly smooth. Some smallish lumps are normal.
  • *Let the batter sit for 8-10 minutes.. I believe this makes the texture of them even better. But this step is completely optional if you’re short on time*
    Your waffle batter is now ready. Per your waffle maker instructions, you may need to spray it with oil first before adding the batter.
    I would recommend to just do this anyway, so the waffles won’t stick.
    Serve your waffles with your favorite waffle toppings such as a little butter and pure maple syrup. Enjoy!
