- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup quick-cooking oats
- 2 tsp ground flaxseed *optional*
- 4 1/2 tbsp light brown sugar or coconut sugar can be substituted
- 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips or 2 tbsp regular, if that’s what you have on hand
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp + 1 1/2 tsp unsweetened applesauce
- 1/4 cup and 3 tsp dairy-free or regular milk
