- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 2 tbsp light brown sugar
- 4 tbsp regular sugar
- 1 1/2 tbsp melted butter
- 3 tbsp creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cups + 3 tbsp regular or dairy free milk
Peanut Butter Glaze Ingredients
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 tbsp creamy peanut butter
- 6 tsp milk of your choice
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Grease or spray doughnut pan very well so the doughnuts can be removed easily. Set aside.*Most doughnut pans come with six cavities. For this recipe, you’ll need 12 total. Therefore you can use one doughnut pan (twice) or two at the same time to bake the doughnuts* Add all of the dry ingredients to a large mixing bowl. This includes the flour thru the sugar. Combine very well.
Add in the remaining wet ingredients. Combine until the batter is mostly smooth, but not too much. Some small lumps will remain..
Spoon or squeeze the batter (ziploc bag method) into each greased doughnut cavity. *You don’t want to overfill the cavities, or the doughnuts won’t have holes in the middle. Add the batter just till the cavity is almost full, but not all the way to the top. About 3/4 full* Bake for about 15 minutes. Check with a toothpick to make sure they’re ready, if necessary.Remove the doughnuts from the pan, and set them aside to cool fully before glazing them.
