Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip Healthy Mug Cake Ingredients
- Spelt flour: I aforementioned in a previous post that I love using spelt flour. It’s like a lighter version of whole wheat flour and it has a mild caramel-like flavor. On the other hand, you can just substitute regular all-purpose flour to make this mug cake.
- Whole wheat flour: I love its wholesome whole-grain flavor and nutritional value. For instance, in this recipe; I decided to combine the two flours – and it resulted in this delicious mug cake!
- Salt
- Light Brown Sugar: I felt that the caramel flavor of this sugar would go well with this cake, and it did!
- Baking powder
- Dairy-free or regular mini chocolate chips: We can’t leave these out, can we? Undoubtedly not!
- Almond butter: Any nut butter should work well as a substitute.
- Milk: This recipe is pretty versatile, therefore dairy-free or regular milk can be used.
